St-Pierre to make full recovery within 10 days

Georges St-Pierre will regain sight in his eye in the next five-to-ten days after being given a positive verdict by doctors in the aftermath to UFC 129.
St-Pierre suffered an eye poke midway through the third round of his welterweight title clash with Jake Shields, leaving him without use of his eye for the remainder of the fight. He won via decision, but won few admirers with his performance.
The champion was clearly disturbed by his eye after the fight, continuously blinking and using the big screens in the Rogers Arena to see what damage had been done. However, his long-term future will not be affected after he was told that he merely has a build-up of blood in his eye.
St-Pierre suffered no retinal damage, but he is still unable to see out of the eye 48 hours after the bout.
Coach John Danaher said GSP should regain his full vision within the next few days, telling ESPN: "Doctors said if he trains it will worsen the bleeding inside the eye. He will resume training when normalcy returns."
St-Pierre has been issued a 60-day medical suspension by the Ontario regulatory body.
