Vitor Belfort claims there is little point putting Georges St-Pierre in the same ring as Anderson Silva, predicting the Canadian would get destroyed.

Belfort is not Silva's biggest fan, having lost to The Spider at UFC 126 and then been accused of showing no respect by the middleweight champion. So his prediction that Silva would beat St-Pierre comes without bias.

The Phenom was tweeting live during UFC 129, and he was distinctly unimpressed with St-Pierre's decision victory over Jake Shields. GSP has now failed to finish his last four fights, despite dominating each one of them.

UFC president Dana White has always maintained that middleweight king Silva would be too big for welterweight champion St-Pierre, and GSP himself has also seemed reticent to commit to the bout. Belfort insists it would be a mismatch if the superfight ever takes place.

"If Anderson fights GSP, he will kill him," Belfort wrote on Twitter, translated by Fighters Only. "St-Pierre fought out of rhythm and has no conditions to fight Anderson at all. Anderson is way better."

Belfort, who recently revealed he is clear to fight Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 133 followed a negative test for Hepatitis A, says Jon Jones is the real test for Silva, who faces Yushin Okami next at UFC Rio.

"The bout I want to see is Anderson vs Jon Jones" Belfort wrote, before stating St-Pierre should fight Nick Diaz.

Diaz's camp, the Cesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu team are expecting to meet with White this week to discuss a potential match-up.
