Terry Etim has been handed the most difficult challenge of his MMA career after the UFC confirmed he will fight Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 112 on April 10.

Etim has been aware of the match-up for well over a month but the UFC officially penned his name to the UFC 112 card on Friday, where the Liverpool-born lightweight is set to feature on the night's main card.

The Abu Dhabi event is headlined by Anderson Silva's middleweight title defence against Demian Maia, while the co-main event sees BJ Penn put his lightweight strap on the line against Frankie Edgar. Ahead of those bouts comes the meeting of Matt Hughes and Renzo Gracie, with Etim's contest scheduled to precede that welterweight match-up.

Recognised for being dangerous on his feet, Etim has actually finished his last two fights via submission, beating Justin Buchholz with a D'Arce choke before utilising the guillotine to defeat Shannon Gugerty. However, Dos Anjos represents the greatest test of his ground skills as Etim goes searching for a fifth straight victory.

Two further encounters have been added to the UFC 112 schedule, with British lightweight Paul Kelly bidding to bounce from his defeat to Dennis Siver against the tough figure of Matt Veach, while Alexander Gustafsson and Phil Davis have been confirmed in a hugely intriguing light-heavyweight duel.

Meanwhile, Nottingham-born lightweight prospect Andre Winner has had a change of opponent for UFC Fight Night headlined by Kenny Florian v Takanori Gomi. Winner had been slated to fight Cole Miller, but he will now take on Rafaello Oliveira.
