Brian Stann has moved quickly to allay fears that he will be out until the end of November, after the UFC 130 medical suspensions were released on Tuesday.

Stann damaged his right thumb during his TKO victory over Jorge Santiago, and he must await results of an X-ray before finding out if his momentum in the middleweight division has been restricted.

The official suspension dished out to the former WEC fighter stated the following: "Must have right thumb X-rayed, and if injured, suspended until Nov. 25, though he can be cleared by an orthopaedic doctor; regardless, suspended until June 28 with no contact until June 19."

Worst-case scenario would see Stann waiting until December for his next fight, which would hinder his progress during arguably the best form of his career.

However, the American tweeted on Tuesday: "Just saw the medical suspensions, no way I'm out six months, my thumb is feeling better already and I should be cleared shortly!!"

Rampage Jackson will also be ruled out until the end of November if he is proven to have a fractured hand, which would rule him out of a title shot.
