Bisping amused by wishy-washy challenges
Michael Bisping has sent a thank-you message to his many detractors for keeping his name in the public arena during his spell away from the Octagon.
Bisping has not fought since February and he has spent the past few months awaiting the outcome of Chael Sonnen's legal case. In the end, with Sonnen still suspended, the UFC paired him with Jason Mayhem Miller for the next series of The Ultimate Fighter.
That means Bisping will not return to the Octagon until December, but he remains hot property on the internet due to an endless list of rivals calling him out.
Nate Marquardt, Alan Belcher and Tim Kennedy have all had a pop at the Brit, while Miller took the trash talk to a whole new level on Monday. Bisping, though, finds it all quite amusing.
"It seems like every day somebody's calling me out!" the Brit said to ESPN. "I'd rather not speak about that scrub [Tim Kennedy], he doesn't even fight in the UFC. I've never even laid eyes on him.
"People keep calling me out and they're keeping my name relevant. I live in a tiny town in the north west of England, haven't fought in ages, but they're still calling me out. Thanks guys, thanks for keeping me relevant!
"Nate Marquardt calls me out and then drops to 170lbs, what's that all about? I've had heavyweights calling me out ... anyone and everyone."
Bisping is currently filming TUF 14, and he recently told the ESPN UFC Podcast that he expects plenty of further irritation from rival coach Miller. Click here for more.
