Michael Bisping admits he has little to gain by beating Jason Miller, and he has told his critics to "get a f***ing grip on themselves" ahead of TUF 14.

Bisping has been selected for a coaching rivalry with Miller on season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter, which will feature bantamweights and heavyweights. The pair will then square off in the finale.

The Brit had been targeting a middleweight title shot prior to his latest assignment, anticipating a championship eliminator with Chael Sonnen, who could not participate due to his suspension from the sport.

As a result, Bisping gets an opponent in Miller who is hugely unlikely to propel the Wolf's Lair fighter towards Anderson Silva, win or lose.

"I can understand it, but I wasn't overly thrilled that he's going to be my next fight," Bisping said. "I'm not underestimating him. I'm not saying he's a lesser fighter than me, but in term of world rankings and getting a title shot, I don't think he's going to progress me in my career.

"He's a very tough fight and in some ways a bad match-up because I'm going to be expected to beat him. He's obviously looking to make a name on my back."

When Bisping steps back in the Octagon, it will be the first time US fans have seen him since his brush with Jorge Rivera, when Bisping was severely reprimanded for a spitting incident. He is likely to find an extremely hostile reception awaiting him, from fans and media alike.

"Those guys need to get a f***ing grip on themselves, I apologized to Jorge Rivera and his camp for spitting on the floor because that's not the way I should've been acting," Bisping said.

"I'm yet to hear an apology from him for insinuating that my girlfriend has Chlamydia and all the other s**t he talked about. I was man enough to do that, he wasn't. Next question!

"It wasn't a spitting incident. I spat on the floor because the guy was talking about my family and if I talked s**t about your family, I'd expect you to spit on the floor and show contempt for me as well. The guy's an absolute piece of s**t and that's what I think and that's what I showed him."
