Forrest Griffin has finally reflected on the worst moment of his UFC career against Anderson Silva, and he is using his own experience to predict Yushin Okami won't be able to hit the middleweight champion at UFC 134.

Griffin, a light-heavyweight, got completely annihilated by 185lb king Silva at UFC 101, suffering a first round knockout. The former light-heavyweight champion was dropped three times, the last of which coming by way of a jab off the back foot.

So embarrassing was the loss that Griffin immediately ran back to the changing rooms, and only now does he find himself able to discuss the defeat.

"Man, that was one of the worst things that I could imagine. As a matter of fact, the worst thing I did was to accept to fight with him," he told The Globe.

"I thought that I could fight well but I got in panic of not being able to hit him. When you see Anderson fight from the outside, you have no idea of how quick he is.

"That was embarrassing. There was nothing I could have done."

Okami is technically the last man to beat Silva, via disqualification, but Griffin predicts the Japanese will suffer a similar fate to his own at UFC 134 on August 27.

"He is in great shape but I don't know whether Okami will find a way to hit Anderson," commented Griffin. "He always keeps his opponent at range."

Griffin is currently preparing for his own bout at UFC 134 in Rio against Mauricio Shogun Rua, and he admits the weight cut is a big issue when considering the upheaval of flying to Brazil.

"It is going to be a great challenge for me to make the light-heavyweight limit. The last week before the bout will be like a nightmare in terms of logistics. I have got to know what hotel I will be staying in so I can get all my food supplies, drinks and other stuff I need to get light.

"I will have five days to adjust jet lag. Shogun will be full of energy and I don't want to fight tired. But this is gonna be fun. I'm not used to being booed, but what can I do? I have some expenses to pay so I hope to win in Brazil and then go back homeā€¦ I don't even know how to plug the phone in here - but the coffee is wonderful."
