Work at the Circuit of the Americas will be completed in time for the return of the US Grand Prix in November, according to Tilke GmbH partner Peter Wahl.

A contract dispute last year resulted in workers downing tools for three weeks in November and December, but Wahl is adamant round-the-clock construction has helped bring the project back on schedule.

"It's time to say it's okay, it will work," he told the Austin Statesman.

He said the new circuit, which features undulations and fast flowing sections, will be one of the best circuits on the calendar when the teams turn up to race on November 18.

"I can already say we will be ready earlier than November," Wahl said. "I'm sure it will meet all the requirements of Formula One. ... It will be one of the best tracks in the world."

He added: "It's like creating a baby. We are now still pregnant, but we know already that it will be born."

A second grand prix on US soil will be added to the calendar in 2013 when Formula One is set to race on the streets of New Jersey. But rather than see the New Jersey round as competition, Wahl thinks it will be a boost for both events.

"I believe there can be a synergy," he said. "It's easier to have two tracks to promote rather than one. I see that as a benefit for both if you play it right."
