In contrast to the other new entrants into Formula One for the 2010 season, Team US F1 is a new racing team, however the directors have years of motorsport experience between them, and they also have an impressive list of investors, including YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley.
Team principal Ken Anderson has been involved with the sport for over 30 years including as technical director for the Ligier and Onyx F1 teams. He has also designed and built numerous Indycar Series winning cars.
Fellow team director is Peter Windsor, a well-known and respected journalist, team manager and consultant with over 35 years of experience. He was team manager for the championship-winning Williams Renault team, manager of Ferrari F1 chassis and suspension department as well as a consultant for drivers Nigel Mansell and Carlos Reutemann.
In common with Campos F1 and Manor, the US F1 team will use the Cosworth engine for their 2010 entry. The team is also reportedly interested in recruiting an American driver for one of their race seats.
