Valtteri Bottas is confident that Williams will be able to repeat its impressive performance from Austin at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

After a tough season, Williams has shown a clear improvement ever since it dropped its Coanda-effect exhausts in Abu Dhabi. Bottas finished in eighth place in Austin to score the first points of his Formula One career and he expects Williams to continue its recent improvement at Interlagos this weekend.

"It's still a question mark," Bottas said. "It's a very different track; much shorter, different type of corners, much longer corners here in general. So we need to really wait and see how we perform but I have no doubt that this race again will be much better than most of the races this season because the changes we made have really helped a lot."

Bottas also said he had a more confident approach heading in to the Brazilian GP weekend having finally scored points.

"It's a different feeling finally getting your first points and knowing it is possible to get in the top ten with this car. It's a good boost I think also for the team. After the race it was nice to see everyone was very happy and more motivated, so definitely looking forward to this weekend. I really think there is a good chance again for a good result; if it's in the top ten we still need to see. I hope so."
