Sir Frank Williams has admitted his team is not where it ought be at this stage of the season, but is confident it will be able to claw back performance over the coming races.

Williams has taken six points from the first three races but has been off the pace of Renault and Force India in the midfield. Nico Hulkenberg qualified fifth in Malaysia but after a tough race took just one point, finishing tenth.

"It's not good enough at the moment," he said. "We've come away from the opening rounds with a number of initiatives, which are all to do with performance and all of which we must accelerate. But I'm not overly worried about our performance for the season just yet; I think we'll improve and there's still a long way to go."

When asked what the team's season-long goals are, Williams replied: "They are still the same as before Bahrain: points at every race."
