Mark Webber was pleased with the work he carried out during practice for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, saying that he feels "happy with the car".

Webber set the fifth fastest time in the second session, half a second off the headline pace set by Lewis Hamilton. With team-mate Sebastian Vettel losing time due to a crash at turn one, Webber said that he was pleased to get through all of the planned workload and would only need to change "a few things" in order to find the best lap time.

"All in all, it was a pretty good afternoon and night for us and we got all the laps done that we needed to," Webber said. "I won't predict anything, as we know on Sunday that things can change, but we're going pretty well and I feel happy with the car. We got all the data, and it went to plan. We will have a good look through it now ... I get a good feeling. We need to prepare a few things to get the most out of the lap."

Webber also admitted that having seen Vettel and Alonso crash at turn 1 he had backed off slightly in that corner to avoid making the same mistake.

"It looks easy to get it wrong on Turn 1, when you see guys of the calibre of Alonso and Vettel getting out of shape, then you give a bit of a margin and come back up to it."
