Cotto can't hurt me - Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather Jnr insists that a step up to light-middleweight for a battle with WBA champion Miguel Cotto holds no fear for him.

Mayweather has only fought at the weight once before, yet claims he is not concerned about the punching power of a man who has 30 KOs in his 37 victories.

Cotto highlighted both his power and durability in his most recent outing, a tenth-round stoppage of Antonio Margarito - but many feel Mayweather will be too sharp for him.

And ahead of their May 5 meeting in Las Vegas, Mayweather has delivered a chilling warning to his opponent.

"I couldn't care less about what the weight is," Mayweather told HBO. "I'm in there to f*** you up.

"I know he ain't going to do damage to me. He is a very quiet guy, but he's in there to f*** me up too. I got to go in there and do damage. I was built for this - I like the smell of the gloves."
