Timothy Bradley will not lose the WBO welterweight title no matter what an investigation into his fight with Manny Pacquiao concludes, according to the organisation's president Paco Valcarcel.

The WBO has announced it will probe the Pacquiao v Bradley fight last weekend in Las Vegas, in which Bradley was awarded a hotly-disputed points victory over his Filipino rival.

There has been near-unanimous condemnation of the verdict, with many feeling Pacquiao won the contest fairly comfortably.

A full video review of the bout with five "recognised international judges" will now take place, before a recommendation is made to the WBO. However, according to USA Today, the WBO only has the power to order a rematch if it feels one is warranted.

There was reportedly a rematch clause in the original contract, and Bradley has already stated he feels there has to be another meeting in order to settle the score and draw a line under the controversy - so it seems the pair are destined to do battle once more, most likely during November this year.
