Price: Tyson Fury has anger management issues

David Price has told Tyson Fury to go and get some anger management classes after Fury launched a bizarre attack on Price following the Liverpudlian's win over Audley Harrison on Saturday.

Fury was spiked by promoter Frank Maloney's claim that he will pay £500,000 to get Fury in the same ring as Price. The response, first issued on Channel 5 and then on a video released on Twitter, levelled some personal insults at Price.

"David Price, I'm going to put you in intensive care, that's for sure mate," Fury said. "And you know your gay lover Tony Bellew? He's got to fight me in between the rounds as well. I want the two of you, you pair of t******."

Price appeared to be baffled by Fury's comments on Sunday, pointing out that the pair could have fought when Fury chose to vacate his British and Commonwealth titles earlier in the year, effectively ducking Price.

"The fight was ready to be made earlier this yet but Mick Hennessy couldn't put up the purse bid to get the fight made - they obviously didn't want it," Price told Sky Sports News.

"Now all of a sudden they want it when the likelihood of it happening - in all honesty - is pretty slim. We're with different broadcasters and there's no purse bid so how it's going to happen...

"As for his rant, I think he needs to go to anger management or something. Why so angry? What's your problem? This is a sport, what's the problem? It must be jealousy. I'll focus on Matt Skelton, Tyson Fury doesn't apply to me."

Price is making big waves in the heavyweight division and is tipped as a future world champion. He fights Skelton next in December, but admits it might take a while to lure one of the Klitschko brothers into the ring.

"I don't know how realistic it is at this stage. I'm unlikely to be picked as a voluntarily defence because I'm a dangerous opponent - I'm bigger than the pair of them," he said.

"It's more likely that I'll have to wait until I earn a mandatory shot. Vitali is the one I'd prefer to fight because he's starting to slow down a little bit, although he's clearly a fantastic fighter."
