Price eyes fight with 'idiotic' Tyson

David Price has described Tyson Fury as "idiotic" and a "playground bully" and is ready to meet him in the ring next summer.

Price's impressive first-round knockout of Audley Harrison at the weekend was overshadowed by Fury's bizarre rant at Price and Tony Bellew on national TV. Fury continued his verbal assault on Price via social media, which could well lead to a sanction from the British Boxing Board of Control.

It is all serving to hype up a heavyweight clash between Price and Fury. Price, who will face Matt Skelton next, said after his win over Harrison that he fancied a shot at Vitali Klitschko. However, if a deal can be done he would happily get in the ring with Fury next year.

"He's idiotic and giving the sport a bad name the way he's running round like a playground bully," Price told BBC Sport. "We are grown men and no-one bullies anyone as far as I'm concerned.

"There is a genuine dislike for each other and that is going to make for a great fight.

"I say keep talking, because he's building the fight. The things he's saying aren't bothering me in the slightest. "It's like dealing with a kid at school talking absolute nonsense.

"I'd take the fight this week but the reality is it's more likely to happen next summer some time. Let Tyson do his promotional work on Twitter or whatever else and I'll let my fists do the talking."
