Hearn confident of Fury-Haye deal
Promoter Eddie Hearn claims a deal to get Tyson Fury and David Haye together in the ring is close to being finalised.
Talk has been swirling that the pair will face off in September and they have been involved in verbal sparring.
Fury has been the more forthright, claiming a deal is 99% done and that he will deliver a sensational knockout, while Haye said this week that talks were progressing slowly.
Hearn has a deal in place to promote Haye's next four fights and he says a deal is close and is confident the heavyweight clash will deliver huge numbers.
"It's now a case of getting both fighters to cross the line," Haye told the Daily Star. "I am pretty sure they both want the fight. The deal isn't done yet - but it is close.
"It is a fight that will have enormous interest and it could generate one of the biggest pay-per-view figures of all time."
Haye is currently sidelined with a hand injury, having not fought since last summer, that is no barrier to a September fight and Hearn is convinced a decision will be made by the end of this month.
Hearn said: "If this fight is going to happen, it will be sorted out by the end of this month, that's for sure."
