James DeGale expects David Haye to KO Audley Harrison within six rounds - but he believes that Harrison has a "good chance" of springing an upset if he can make the fight last the distance.
Ahead of the all-British heavyweight clash for the WBA title on November 13, DeGale has accused Haye of "blowing up" in the late stages of fights due to his "stamina problems".
Haye has only boxed the full 12 rounds twice in his 25-fight career - and only once in the past four years - while Harrison has gone the distance on three occasions. DeGale believes that any protracted battle would be to the veteran's benefit, with Haye insisting that he is focusing his energy on a blistering start.
"That is a very intriguing and interesting fight," DeGale told ESPN. "I see David Haye knocking him out within six rounds, but if it goes past six rounds Harrison has got a good chance. Haye has got a bit of a stamina problem, I think he slows down and blows up after six rounds.
"Audley's a big heavyweight, he's a southpaw, he's awkward, so if it goes past six Audley's got a good chance. Audley's got something in his eyes this time, he's definitely convinced me that he's in with a shout."
If Haye overcomes Harrison, DeGale insists that the champion "has to" attempt to unify the heavyweight division by taking on one, or both, of the Klitschko brothers. The two camps were locked in negotiations earlier in the year before talks collapsed over a financial dispute.
"If he does the job which he's expected to do on Audley, I think he should do because there's no-one else out there that he can fight," he said. "If he does the job on Audley, the next fight has got to be one of the Klitschkos. It's got to be."
