Froch anticipating 'brutal' war after shock weigh-in

Glen Johnson weighed in one pound lighter than Carl Froch ahead of their WBC super-middleweight title clash in Atlantic City on Saturday night.
Prior to stepping on the scales, Froch suggested that Johnson, 42, had been jogging on the beach in a tracksuit in a desperate last-gasp bid to shed weight.
But the Jamaican, who is a former world champion at light-heavyweight, surprisingly came in at 167.5lbs. Nonetheless, Froch insists he is unfazed by his opponent's physique, as he has prepared for every possible eventuality in the ring.
"I've made the weight so easily. I feel really strong at the weight, so I'll go 12 rounds if necessary. Hopefully it won't be, but if it will then I'll be there," Froch told Sky Sports. "It could be a boxing masterclass from me, a one-sided affair - or it could be a brutal affair. Hopefully I'll dominate at range, but if necessary I am happy to go into the trenches."
The winner of the fight will go on to face WBA king Andre Ward in a unification fight later this year - and Ward, who reached the Super Six final by defeating Arthur Abraham, is unwilling to predict his opponent.
"It's a 50-50 fight in my opinion," said Ward. "Either guy has the potential and the ability to win this fight. At this level you never really know, so mentally I am prepared to fight either guy."
