Haye warns Froch over tactics

WBC super-middleweight champion Carl Froch could be in for a testing Saturday evening against Glen Johnson if he loses his focus in the ring, according to David Haye.

Froch is one fight away from a lucrative unification clash against WBA champion Andre Ward, who has already reached the final of the Super Six Classic tournament.

Although the Brit has attracted a reputation for going toe-to-toe and putting on entertaining bouts, he is preparing to fight on the back foot against Johnson, controlling the bout behind his jab.

And Haye reckons that is the correct strategy to employ - if Froch has the discipline to stick to it.

"Carl can win fight wide on points if 100% focused like in Abraham fight [Froch beat Arthur Abraham on points last November]. Carl doesn't need to mix it up in mid/close range!" Haye said on Twitter.

Johnson, 42, weighed in for the fight one pound lighter than Froch.
