Lessons from Austin helped me win - Rosberg

Nico Rosberg says he was relieved to avoid a repeat of Austin as he held off Lewis Hamilton for victory at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Rosberg came under heavy pressure from his Mercedes team-mate, who had passed him in similar circumstances at the United States Grand Prix on route to victory last week. A flawless drive from Rosberg ensured Hamilton could not repeat that in Interlagos and the German, who goes into the finale 17 points behind his Mercedes team-mate, says the memory of Austin was important.
"It was a great weekend all in all," Rosberg said after topping every session and claiming pole. "Austin was a tough day for me, Sunday, so it was important for me just to improve. I didn't do a good enough job in Austin and today I managed to do that. That I'm happy about, I learned from Austin and did better and that's a big step in the right direction. One race too late but still all to play for so I'm just hoping for Austin and to keep this going."
"It was a great race with Lewis, he drove a great race too behind me all the time, I had to make sure the gap was such there was no chance to overtake - unlike Austin - and I managed to do that and that's good." Mercedes secured its 11th one-two finish of the season in Brazil and Rosberg says it is great to be a part of the team's success.
"It's fantastic. The team is doing such an awesome job all in all, keep developing throughout the year. That's so great to be a part of. You can feel it in a team, everyone is really pumped and head down focused all the way. We've changed now, we used to be hunting and now we're the hunted. It's great to see how the team has adapted."
