Mark Webber said he was happy with his team's philosophy on team orders after finishing second behind team-mate Sebastian Vettel in the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Although Webber is the best placed of the Red Bull drivers in the championship and victory would have massively helped his title chances, the Australian admitted it was right that Vettel won the race.
"It helps but it's not the team's philosophy," said Webber. "It was a good drive by Seb today for the win and that is how it is. The team is going for the position it has always done on the sporting side and that is how it is."
Ferrari caused uproar by breaching the ban on team orders at this year's German Grand Prix but Webber said he would rather win the title fair and square.
"Fernando got some points at Hockenheim [via team orders], which happened in the past and will happen in the future. Everyone has different ideas and that is how it is. I still have a good chance and will go to Abu Dhabi and do my best."
Team boss Christian Horner added that with both of his drivers still fighting for the title, it would have been wrong to interfere.
"It would have been wrong, this weekend, to interrupt a driver still with a chance to win the world championship."
