Fish leaps back into top 50

Mardy Fish was catapulted back into the world top 50 following his victory in Newport on Sunday, marking a sweep of titles on all four surfaces.
The former world No. 17 slipped down the rankings after knee surgery in September, but jumped up 30 places to No. 49 after winning a fourth career title.
Fish underwent a strict training regime since the operation and has lost 30 pounds in the last 10 months under a strict diet with trainer Christian LoCascio.
The grass-court victory completes the only surface missing in his collection, and Fish, who was a beaten finalist at Queen's last month, was delighted to complete the set.
"It means a lot to win on every surface in my career - indoor, outdoor, hard, clay and now grass," Fish said. "I've certainly lost a lot of heartbreak finals, and it feels good to win one."
There was no change in the top ten, but British No. 12 Richard Bloomfield jumped up 260 places to move back into the world top 300 after his impressive run of form in Newport, which was eventually ended by Fish in the semi-finals. Bloomfield leapt from 552 to No. 292.
Aravane Rezai moved into the world top 20 for the first time after winning her fourth career title at the Swedish Open in Bastad. She replaces former world No. 2 Svetlana Kuznetsova in the top 20.
