Hello and welcome to ESPN's live coverage of the 2017 Monaco Grand Prix.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

14:02 Raikkonen pulls up to his grid slow and we are just moments away. Here we go!

---

13:59 The formation lap is underway as Raikkonen leads the field off from the grid.

---

13:57 Not long to go now, we are just a few minutes away from the start of the 2017 Monaco Grand Prix. Can Ferrari end its 16-year drought in Monaco? Stay right here to find out!

---

13:54 Hamilton opts to run down the pitlane following the national anthem in order to find his grid spot, as oppose to fighting his way through the packed grid.

---

13:52 Ericsson, who starts last on the grid anyway, has received a five place grid penalty for a gearbox change.

---

13:49 Around 10 minutes until lights out.

---

13:46 A minute's silence before the national anthem now, as F1 pays its respects to the victims of last week's horrific Manchester terrorist attack.

---

13:45 His teammate Button, who qualified an excellent 9th on his return to F1 -- and who was due to start 20th following his 15 place grid penalty -- will start from the pit lane after set up changes were made to his McLaren overnight.

---

13:44Big chance of some first points of the year for McLaren here. Vandoorne starts 12th following his three place grid penalty for his part in the clumsy collision with Massa in Spain.

---

13:41 Worth keeping an eye on the Red Bull pair of Verstappen and Ricciardo, too. Ricciardo was left frustrated after a Red Bull timing error in Q3 yesterday left him only fifth. He thought he had a genuine shot at pole but has to settle instead for the third row. Can either driver mix it up and challenge for the win, or at least, a podium?

---

13:39 And just how far up the order can Hamilton progress from his lowly 13th on the grid. It is almost impossible to overtake here so strategy will play a big factor here. A safety car could prove to be Hamilton's saviour too. It could end up being a long afternoon for the Briton, who said himself he hopes to salvage some points.

---

13:37 Let's not forget Bottas in third, who could well be in the mix today. He missed out on pole by just 0.045s -- a superb effort if you consider the struggles of his teammate Hamilton.

----

13:33 Should be a fascinating race today in Monaco, with Ferraris second front row lock-out of the season. This time its Raikkonen on pole -- his first since 2008 -- ahead of Vettel. It will be interesting to see how Ferrari handles the race if the order remains the same after the start.

----
