That's Ricciardo's first win since Malaysia 2016, 13 races ago. "That was a drive past your age," Rob Smedley tells Stroll over team radio. Bottas congratulates Stroll in parc ferme. Hamilton also comes over to say well done to the young Canadian. An incredibly composed drive -- and weekend -- from Stroll. Lap 51	Hamilton closes in on Vettel but is not close enough into Turn 1. Ricciardo crosses the line to take his fifth victory in F1 and Red Bull's first of the year! Bottas sneaks past Stroll on the drag to the finish line! But Stroll hangs on to take a podium in third! Vettel pips Hamilton to fourth, with Ocon rounding out the top six. Magnussen comes home seventh, ahead of Sainz, Alonso and Wehrlein, who completes the top 10. "Argh, he got me!," Stroll bemoans over team radio. Still a sterling drive from the rookie, who claims his first podium in F1.
Lap 50	The gap between Hamilton and Vettel is now under a second.
Lap 49	Hamilton closes the gap to Vettel to just over a second -- he is within a tenth of getting DRS. Bottas has closed to within 2.6s of Stroll.
Lap 48	Four laps remain! "Stay focused now, stay focused, this is good!" Stroll is told over team radio. Raikkonen heads into the pits and retires from the race.
Lap 47	Another new fastest lap from Hamilton, this time a 1:43.469s as he continues to catch Vettel, who in turn is lapping on a similar pace.

Profile Oil-rich Azerbaijan secured its place on the Formula One calendar in 2016 as one of a record-breaking 21 races in the season. Held on the streets of capital city Baku, the six kilometre track was designed by F1's resident architect Hermann Tilke and includes long straights, right angle turns and a tight uphill section on the outer section of the old city. The event is known as the Grand Prix of Europe even though Baku is arguably on the Asian side of the continental border running along the Caucasus mountains west of the city. Keen to project itself as a modern, wealthy and sophisticated country, the grand prix is one of a number of high-profile sporting and cultural events to take place in Azerbaijan in recent years. In 2015 Baku hosted the inaugural European Games and it is one of the host cities for the UEFA Euro 2020 championships (not to mention its host status during the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest). The circuit has a capacity of just 28,000, with 20,000 seated in grandstands and the rest sold as general admission tickets. But while race-day attendance will be relatively small, its the massive wordwide TV audience that appeals to the Azeri government bankrolling the event. Full profile
