Daniel Ricciardo has been given a reprimand for an incident with Pastor Maldonado in FP1 of the Canadian Grand Prix.

Ricciardo was called in to see the stewards at the end of Friday's first session for overtaking Maldonado in the pit lane as he returned to the garage at the conclusion of FP1. The stewards felt Ricciardo was guilty of driving dangerously.

"The driver of car 3 drove in a manner that was potentially dangerous to others in the Pit Lane," the stewards' decision read.

It is Ricciardo's first reprimand of the season.
