Fernando Alonso says his plans for 2015 will seem obvious when they are revealed at some point in the near future.

Alonso is expected to leave Ferrari and be replaced by Sebastian Vettel next season, but his options next year appear to be slim. McLaren is the most obvious choice, but a week ago in Japan team boss Ron Dennis made clear that a deal had not been done.

"As I said in Suzuka, I understand the curiosity and I understand the fans and the news that can be around the future," Alonso said. "But do not worry, relax and enjoy. When it's time to know, you will know.

"As I said in Suzuka, my mind has been set for the last two or three months and you will understand that it was probably very obvious what I will do. I will do the best for my future, the best for the future of Ferrari as well because that has been my priority for the last seven years to help this fantastic team."

Although a stay at Ferrari is unlikely - with both sides believed to be ready to split - Alonso's contract was meant to last until the end of 2016. Asked if he had already agreed to leave Ferrari, Alonso said: "I didn't say that and Ferrari didn't say that. This is just another rumour."

If negotiations with McLaren are not successful a move to Lotus appears to be the only option among the top teams, albeit an unlikely one, with Mercedes and Williams committed to their current line ups. A third option would be a sabbatical, but Alonso does not think that is likely.

"It's probably not a big risk," he said.
