I don't care if Tevez leaves - Aguero

New Manchester City signing Sergio Aguero is unfazed by the prospect of Carlos Tevez leaving the Etihad Stadium this summer.

With potential exit doors closing in front of Tevez, it seems the wantaway striker may be set for an unlikely stay at City next season.

That raises the prospect of Aguero, who cost Roberto Mancini's side £38 million, reprising his international strike partnership with fellow Argentinean Tevez at club level.

But Aguero has confessed he does not mind whether Tevez stays or goes.

"Me and Carlos are friends, we've played together in the national team. But it's up to him what he wants to do," Aguero is quoted as saying by the Sun. "I spoke to Pablo [Zabaleta, also of City] a lot because I know him from the Olympics and from Holland. He is more than a team-mate, he is a good friend.

"I have spoken with Carlos, too - I do not have the same relationship with him as I do with Pablo, because I have known him for longer. But he is resting now on holiday and I have to respect that.

"If he is here, then that's fine, but if not I will adapt without him. Things are as they are. I have only been with the group for one day and I have to adapt as quickly as possible."

Aguero is set to make his City debut against rivals Manchester United in the Community Shield next weekend, having been ruled out of the Dublin Super Cup due to fatigue.
