Roberto Mancini is confident Samir Nasri will be a Manchester City player by the end of next week, and has hinted more signings may follow before the end of the transfer window.

Nasri's Arsenal future has been a topic of constant speculation all summer, but a move to City appeared to hit a stumbling block last week with the French media claiming talks between the Frenchman and City had fallen through.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger refused to shed any light on the situation, and although Mancini admitted he was in the dark over any issues, he remained confident of securing the midfielder.

Speaking after his side's 3-2 win over Bolton, Mancini revealed he hoped to secure the deal within the next few days.

''I hope we can have the player in the next days,'' Mancini told Sky Sports. ''I don't know what the problem is. I hope this week we can have Nasri, but don't know when. We have 10 days to the end [of the transfer window].''

When asked whether Nasri would be his last signing of the summer, Mancini replied: "I hope not".
