Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin has rubbished reports that he could be moving to Tottenham as part of an attempt from the Liga side to sign Spurs star Luka Modric.

Sahin, 23, said he wanted to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu despite starting only two league games as Real won the Spanish title last season.

The Turkish midfielder, who joined Real in a €10 million switch from Borussia Dortmund last summer, told Fichajes.net: "Since I arrived here, it has been like living a dream.

"It is one of the best clubs in the world, and for this reason I do not see why I should go. I have no intention of leaving."

Real Madrid have been linked strongly with Modric in recent weeks, with the Croatia international recently stating that he expects his future to lie away from White Hart Lane.
