Middlesbrough have completed a last-gasp double deal for stikers Scott McDonald and Lee Miller.

McDonald links up again with Boro boss Gordon Strachan after working with him at Celtic. The Australian scored 50 goals in 88 league games for the Hoops after he joined from Motherwell in the summer of 2007.

Miller, who has been capped twice for Scotland, joins after three years with Aberdeen. He scored 29 goals in 109 league games for the Dons. McDonald's passage to 'Boro was eased after Celtic made a move for Tottenham's Robbie Keane.

Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan had already added to his squad in the transfer window with the signings of Barry Robson, Willo Flood and Chris Killen from Celtic, together with the loan additions of Stephen McManus and Kyle Naughton.
