Tottenham are still trying to resurrect their on-off loan move for David Beckham, with the club locked in last-gasp talks with LA Galaxy to try to resolve the final differences over salary share and insurance.

Beckham arrived at Spurs' Chigwell training ground on Monday morning and underwent a medical - something usually only reserved for players who are set to sign for a club. The former England captain had been due to be unveiled as a Tottenham player during Sunday's FA Cup win over Charlton, but the announcement was called off as the deal had not been finalised.

That is still the case now, although ESPNsoccernet has been informed that talks are back on to find a solution to enable Beckham to play for Spurs. It is still possible that an announcement will be made later on Monday, with Beckham's advisors working hard to help the two clubs resolve their outstanding issues.

A Tottenham insider told ESPNsoccernet: "Talks are ongoing and it will be much later in the day, at the earliest, before anyone has anything to say."

ESPNsoccernet revealed last week that there were intrinsic problems over Beckham's £500,000 insurance costs, with Spurs hesitant to pay such a large figure to have a player for such a short spell.

Equally, Spurs were aiming to offset part, if not all, of their outlay with a share of shirts sales - but had to resolve the image rights deal that links Beckham with more than one company. In addition, Spurs wanted to ensure they had Beckham for the maximum number of games in order to make the whole process worthwhile.
