Redknapp fears further surgery for King

Tottenham defender Ledley King is set for another spell on the sidelines after he suffered a groin problem in training on Tuesday.

King, 30, has had to deal with constant fitness problems throughout his career and has been out since October with a groin complaint. However, he may now require surgery to deal with the injury as he suffered a setback in training.

"Ledley was playing great and then, with the last kick of the morning, did his groin again,'' said Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp.

"We've been deciding if he needs an operation or not, so we've been pushing him a bit. He'll have to talk to the medical people now to make that decision."
