A rising force in European golf, Alex Noren's two victories on the European Tour in 2011 - at the Wales Open and his home Scandinavian Masters - began to set him out as one to watch in the years to come.
Having excelled on the Challenge Tour as a young professional, Noren progressed to the European Tour for his first full season in 2007, finishing a respectable 63rd on the Order of Merit. He has progressed every year since - barring one disappointing campaign in 2010 - and along the way has picked up three victories.
The first came in 2009, at the Omega European Masters, before he turned heads with two big wins in 2011. Just beginning to play his way into major championship fields, Noren could be set to follow the likes of Niclas Fasth, Robert Karlsson and Pierre Fulke as consistent challengers on the European Tour.
Career high: Winning the Nordea Masters in his home city of Stockholm undoubtedly was the most satisfying moment of the young Swede's career.
Career low: Failing at the final stage of European Tour Qualifying in 2005 temporarily derailed his career, although arguably the time he spent maturing on the Challenge Tour improved him as a player.
