- US PGA Championship, Round Two
What they said

Rory McIlroy narrowly made the cut after struggling with a wrist injury he picked up on Thursday. He said: "You know to be honest, when I woke up this morning, [the wrist] was stiff but it wasn't as painful. Yeah, I hit a few shots on the range and it was fine, and I felt as if I was okay to go out and play.
If it wasn't a major, I probably would have stopped yesterday. I gave myself a few chances but I just didn't putt very well at all."
Lee Westwood has being trying to be more laid-back on the course, which seemed to bring results as he carded a 68. He said: "It's difficult to try your hardest and not care about the results - they contradict one another. But I'm breezing around out there and trying to smile whenever I can and not really worry about what's going on too much.
"I played solidly all day really. Pleased with the way I played."
Tiger Woods didn't have much to offer after he missed the cut. He said: ""I was in nearly 20 bunkers in two days, and four or five water balls - so that's not going to add up to a good score. It's frustration and disappointment that I"m not contending in the tournament. Next time."
Anders Hansen is in touch at three-under for the tournament. He said: "I thought I played solid today. I think I hit 16 greens today and I putted decently. The course is set up very, very tough today. They stuck the pins out in the corners and made it tough for us today, so it's difficult to hit it really, really close.
"I don't know, obviously, how it's going to look at the end of the day, but doesn't look it's going to be so far away. But in good position and just take it from there."
DA Points is firmly in the hunt at four-under. He said: "It feels great, but it's only Friday. It's going to feel a lot better when it's Sunday and I'm talking to you guys - or even Saturday afternoon when I'm hopefully in here talking to you guys about playing well again. So there's so much golf left, so I'm certainly glad to be here, but I hope to be here the next two days."
Rickie Fowler should be involved at the weekend after a fighting 69. He said: "I drove it better today, which obviously helped me score a little bit better. I knew the biggest thing was just to kind of get through the last few holes on the back nine there, which was my front nine today, and to give myself some opportunities to make some birdies and give ourselves a look at making the cut, and it looks like we should sneak in for the weekend."
Brandt Snedeker gave himself virtually no chance of making the cut after turning up two minutes late for his tee time and receiving a two-shot penalty for his troubles. He said: "Just missed my tee time, plain and simple. I thought my tee time was 8:20 and it was at 8:10. That's the first time that's happened in my career, and I guarantee it'll be my last. It's very frustrating, to say the least.
"Look, it happens. I'm not the first guy to do it, I won't be the last guy to do it, but I certainly thought it was never going to happen to me. Live and learn."
Graeme McDowell missed the cut at 12-over for the tournament. He said: "This golf course, first and foremost, you have to drive it well to have a chance, and I didn't do that. So you're behind the 8-ball. And yeah, I just went chasing a little bit those last nine holes, and tried to fire at some pins and made a couple numbers. But disappointing. The game is just not there. You know, it's still a work-in-progress. Game is just kicking me right now. But, you kick on."
Defending champion Martin Kaymer was left to rue his putting as he was left waiting to hear the cut mark at five-over. He said: "Playing-wise it was fine. It's just nothing went in. I hit every green in regulation on the back nine and I just made one putt and it was on the last hole. I was in good position, but it didn't happen."
Open champion Darren Clarke didn't have much to offer as he missed the cut at 14-over. He said: "I'm just going away. I need a rest. I'm tired. I won't up the clubs for ten days. I won't even look at them for ten days. So I'm just mentally tired. I need to have a rest.".
