Sergio Garcia believes he still has seven years to reach his peak after returning to golf's upper echelons with victory at the Castello Masters.

Garcia, whose 11-shot win on his home course on Sunday was his first in three years and returned him to the edge of the world's top 30, is looking for victory again this week at the Andulucia Masters - as the 31-year-old looks to book his place at the lucrative WGC HSBC Champions event in Shanghai.

But his long-term goal is to win a major and, after rediscovering his love for the game, the Spaniard still believes he has a number of years left to achieve that aim.

"The most important thing, like I've been saying all year, is that I think that I've been getting better every week," Garcia told Sky Sports News. "I feel like my desire and my will to try and play is what it should be and that to me is the most important thing.

"Things have started to slow down and things have turned to what they should be. Hopefully I can keep improving for the next six or seven years - and everything will be good."
