Tiger Woods is back up to No. 21 in the world rankings

Tiger Woods believes normal service has resumed after ending a two-year title drought.

Woods produced a stunning birdie-birdie finish to pip Zach Johnson to the title at the Chevron World Challenge in California.

But despite enduring the toughest two years of his career - with knee and Achilles injuries following revelations surrounding his private life - Woods, who has climbed back up to 21st in the world rankings, insists he never took a single title for granted.

"People don't realise how hard it is to win golf tournaments," Woods said after his victory at the event his hosts. "I've gone on streaks where I have won golf tournaments in a row, but still, each one, I don't think I've taken it for granted.

"I know it's been a while, but also for some reason it feels like it hasn't."

Woods showed a glimmer of the Tiger of old as he held his nerve to sink a birdie putt to avoid a play-off. And the former world No. 1 believes he is entirely comfortable with his game once again.

"When I was coming down the stretch there I felt so comfortable," he said. "I felt comfortable in Australia; I felt comfortable in Augusta. When I'm putting myself in those positions, it is comfortable."

Woods immediately set his sights on further trophies, and admitted he would like to be crowned comeback player of the year in 2012.

"I think if I have a good year I should be on the ballot for comeback player of the year, so I'm excited about that," he said. "So hopefully next year I can get on that ballot."
