Kenny Perry has admitted he would be prepared to partner Tiger Woods when the world No. 1 returns to action at the Masters.

Woods broke cover this week to confirm his first appearance on a course since November will be at Augusta. The media attention will be intense and there will be pressure on those players asked to partner Woods when he tees it up at the first Major of the season.

Some players may shy away from such scrutiny, something Perry can understand, but last year's Masters runner-up feels he is thick-skinned enough to take the media glare in his stride.

"It would be a tough pairing to tell you the truth," he said. "I'm old enough to maybe handle that, I don't know, maybe you need some hillbilly like me to do that."

Perry has called on all those connected with the game to forgive Woods for his past indiscretions. "I hope we are that country that will forgive, and give him a second shot," he said. "Everybody deserves a second chance. We all make mistakes. I'm going to go give him a hug."
