World No. 2 Lee Westwood is paired with three-time tournament champion Martin Kaymer and Spaniard Sergio Garcia, while Graeme McDowell will play with Simon Dyson and Miguel Angel Jimenez in the preceding three-ball.
Open champion Darren Clarke is set to play the opening 36 holes with Australian Jason Day and Spain's Alvaro Quiros. The group will tee off ten minutes after Woods, McIlroy and Donald on Thursday morning.
Woods and McIlroy played nine holes together at Abu Dhabi Golf Club on Tuesday, as they familiarised themselves with each other ahead of the start of the tournament.
