ESPN is providing live commentary and updates during all four days of The Masters from Augusta National - along with comprehensive news views and opinions.

Hard Kraft

US amateur champion Kelly Kraft was 63rd and last of the weekend players at the start of Saturday's play - which meant he had to play alone. It clearly didn't suit him, as he walked off with a 77, his worst round so far - although at least he was done quickly.

Mr. Popular

Absolutely massive crowd to watch early starter Tiger Woods - it was as if he was playing in the final group on Sunday. Did the patrons not watch any of the action on Saturday?! Hopefully they won't make the same error across the final round, which Woods wlil start at three over.

Thorn in his side

Oh, the cruelty of Augusta: Justin Rose was four under for his round when he approached the 15th tee, and when he reached the green in two, he looked on course to make further inroads. But the greens fought back and the ball rolled and rolled, all the way into the water. He never recovered, and is level par through 54 holes.

Oh brother

Francesco Molinari, two under; his brother, Edoardo, nine over. No prizes for seeing where the bragging rights are going to be for the next couple of weeks - it must have been an awkward dinner for the Italians.

Serge of goodwill

Playing partners Sergio Garcia and Rory McIlroy had endured a torrid time by the time they reached the 12th hole - but they made that par-three look easy, with both grabbing birdies. Afterwards, Garcia tossed his club away and raced over to embrace the Ulsterman. How he could have done with that on Sunday last year.

The place to be

In 19 of the last 21 Masters tournaments, the eventual winner has come from the final pairing on Sunday. This time around, Peter Hanson and Phil Mickelson will be in that particularly promising position. Of course, last year Charl Schwartzel came from a group back to steal the green jacket - is a return to form on the cards this year?
