Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy both showed solid form ahead of next week's US PGA Championship, but it was Keegan Bradley who claimed the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational on Sunday.

Rose and McIlroy, both in contention at the start of the final round, posted scores of 67 and 68 respectively to finish on eight-under. That was enough for a share of fifth place, five strokes adrift of winner Bradley who completed at 13-under.

Rose, winner of the WGC-Cadillac Championship this year, hit more greens in regulation than at any other point in the tournament. His putter let him down, but he still found four birdies for the concession of the solitary bogey.

McIlroy's story was rather similar. Off the tee he was long and, more often than not, accurate, but around the greens he needed 31 swings of the short stick, one less than Rose.

Jim Furyk had, for a long time looked on course to take the title but he capitulated at the last. Leading by one stroke, the American double-bogeyed the final hole to fail even to force a play-off.

The beneficiary was Bradley, the reigning US PGA champion, who displayed ominous form with a six-under 64 on the final day. Bradley had trailed Furyk by a solitary stroke for the majority of the back nine, and it was out of his hands when he reached the clubhouse on 13-under.

However, Furyk's mistake at the par-four elevated Bradley to the top of the leaderboard, leaving Furyk tied for second with Steve Stricker. It was rich reward for Bradley who was flawless through the last 18 holes, putting beautifully for his victory.

Elsewhere, Louis Oosthuizen finished three clear of Rose and McIlroy in fourth, Tiger Woods was back on four-under alongside Luke Donald, while Graeme McDowell signed for a 72 to finish on one-under.

Ian Poulter was two strokes further behind, while Lee Westwood remains a big concern after he completed on 14-over.
