The Ryder Cup gets underway at Medinah Country Club on September 28. ESPN will have extensive coverage of the event - including interactive text commentary, reports and reaction - for all three days.

Paul Lawrie has revealed a special tribute being planned by the European Ryder Cup team for Sunday's singles at Medinah.

The 12-man team will mark the final day of the 39th Ryder Cup with a very special tribute to the late Seve Ballesteros, who lost his battle with cancer last year aged 54.

Lawrie, who arrived in the States on Monday, explained that the team would be attired in the same clothes often sported by the Spanish great during his playing days as Europe attempt to retain the Cup in Illinois this weekend.

"The word is we're wearing navy trousers, navy sweaters and white shirts like Seve always wore in the final round of Majors," Lawrie was quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.

"If that is indeed the case, there could be no more fitting a tribute to a guy like Seve than having 12 of the best players in Europe wearing his outfit on the final day of the Ryder Cup.

"If that's how they're going to do it, then it's absolutely bang on."

Ballesteros participated in five Ryder Cup wins for Europe during his playing career.
