McDowell stays out in front at Thousand Oaks

Graeme McDowell maintained his lead at the World Challenge in California after carding a third round 68 on Saturday.

The former US Open champion saw his lead reduced to two strokes by Keegan Bradley, but remains in pole position heading into the final 18 holes at Thousand Oaks.

McDowell, who led after 36 holes, scored two early birdies to keep himself out in front, and he picked up another two shots either side of the turn as he went bogey-free.

On 13-under, McDowell is two strokes clear of Bradley, who carded 67 in a round featuring six birdies and a single bogey.

Tournament host Tiger Woods is among the chasing pack after he recovered from a sluggish start to move to eight-under. After a birdie on the opening hole, Woods had to scramble to save pars after errants shots at four and six.

He reached the turn on level par after a bogey at the eighth, but three birdies in four holes on the back nine helped keep his chance of victory alive. Woods is in a tie for third alongside Bo Van Pelt, whil Jim Furyk is a shot further back on seven-under.

Masters champion Bubba Watson produced the joint-best round of the day (67) to move up to four-under, while Ian Poulter on level par after his third round 71.
