Dustin Johnson believes there are 'no limits' to what he can achieve in 2013, if he irons out a couple of issues in his game.

The American, injured for part of 2012, is up to No. 12 in the world rankings following his triumph at the Tournament of Champions in Kapalua.

Johnson became the first golfer since Tiger Woods to win PGA Tour events in the six successive seasons following his departure from college, as he held off the likes of Steve Stricker, Brandt Snedeker and Keegan Bradley to win comfortably in the weather-ravaged event in Hawaii.

As a result, he has risen 11 places in the world rankings - but the American believes there is still much more to come.

"I played three really good rounds this week. But I still don't think I've lived up to my potential," Johnson said. "Obviously this week I did. I played really well. But [I] still made some mistakes.

"Just limiting those will definitely help, and then for me, just making some better decisions. If I keep playing golf like I'm playing right now, then, you know, obviously there is no limit."

He added: "There's some things that I need to improve in my game, and if I do, that then the rest will fall into place."

Bradley and Stricker have both also climbed in the rankings, to 11th and 13th respectively, with Nick Watney dropping out of the world's top 20 as a result of Johnson's performance.

World rankings: 1. Rory McIlroy (NIR), 2. Luke Donald (ENG), 3. Tiger Woods (USA), 4. Justin Rose (ENG), 5. Adam Scott (AUS) 6. Louis Oosthuizen (RSA), 7. Lee Westwood (ENG), 8.
