Poulter faces Jaidee and Aiken test

Ian Poulter has been placed alongside Thongchai Jaidee and Thomas Aiken in opening round of the Volvo World Match Play Championship.

The European Tour will take in a new venue this week, with Bulgaria's stunning Thracian Cliffs Golf and Beach Resort playing host to a 24-man field.

The players are split into eight groups of three for the opening round-robin matches which will take place on Thursday and Friday before Saturday's knockout round and the semi-finals and final on Sunday.

Defending champion Nicolas Colsaerts will take on Branden Grace and Kiradech Aphibarnrat in the opening round, while pre-event favourite Graeme McDowell will have to overcome Chris Wood and Stephen Gallacher in the Seve Ballesteros Group.
