- Open Championship: Plays of the Day
Philly Mick joins some exclusive clubs

Illustrious company
With his victory at Muirfield, Phil Mickelson joins a couple of groups of pretty great golfers. To wit:
Five-time major champions: Byron Nelson, Seve Ballesteros, James Braid, JH Taylor, Peter Thomson.
Open winners at Muirfield: Ernie Els, Sir Nick Faldo, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Tom Watson, Lee Trevino, Harry Vardon, James Braid, Walter Hagen, Henry Cotton.
He also joins a group of just 15 players to have won at least three of the four different major championships. Well done, Phil!
Victory!
Always good to seal a major with a mid-range putt. And kudos on the throwback, Masters-reminiscent celebration Phil...
Super slick spy guy
Clever avoidance of the Open's strict 'No cameras on competition days' policy, guy in straw hat - although maybe you'd have a better chance of pulling off your cunning plan if the camera was not ... pink?!
No cameras at the British Open? Not a problem for this sneaky guy and his pink camera (via @Reddit) pic.twitter.com/oOVxXgqobw

The Big Easy produces a big dunk
"It took me 71 holes to produce a decent shot," Els said of this effort, good enough for an eagle at the 17th on Sunday. Bit harsh in his assessment, we'd say.
