Bradley Dredge shot a flawless third round of 66 to take over from Welsh compatriot Jamie Donaldson at the top of the Czech Masters leaderboard.

Dredge is looking to go one better than his runner-up finish in Denmark last week and made six birdies to move 12-under-par after three rounds at the Albatross Golf Resort in Prague.

"It wasn't my best ball striking round but it was a good scoring round, that's for sure," Dredge told the European Tour's official website. "I lost my card at the end of 2012 and had a few health problems to sort out.

"This year my category is quite low, so when I do play I've got to go out and play well. I'm sorting things out and hopefully it will soon be gone. Last week was huge for me. I didn't win and I would have loved to have won but Marc [Warren] played fantastic in the last round I thought and handled himself really well and totally outplayed me. I didn't play well enough.

"Still, I felt as though I played some good golf and I took a lot of confidence from it. I was hoping to bring it here with me this week and I have so far."

Denmark's Søren Kjeldsen and Donaldson remain two shots behind at 10-under following respective third rounds of 68 and 71.

Donaldson held a four-shot lead at one point but several errors throughout his third visit dampened his chances of going into the final day on top. However, he is still on course to earn a Ryder Cup debut.

"It was there for my taking today and to extend the lead," Donaldson said. "I played well enough to do that but I didn't, too many sloppy mistakes but that's golf. I've played a lot of golf recently.

"I'm not too fatigued. I probably will be when it's finished but the adrenaline just keeps you going through the event if you're doing well. I'm not too bad now."

Kjeldsen, chasing his first title in five years, said: "It was a nice combination of flawless golf and then a battling spirit in the last few holes so it was a nice mix.

"I'm loving it at the moment. I was out there with good guys again today we had a lot of fun. But playing well, you just can't beat that."
