Arnold Palmer is counting down the days until he can play golf again.

Palmer, who turns 85 on September 10, is back in his office this week near his Latrobe, Pennsylvania, home after having successful pacemaker implant surgery August 18 in Pittsburgh.

The procedure was done to correct an abnormal heartbeat.

Palmer, who remains active in his course design business and hosts a PGA Tour event in Orlando, Florida, called the Arnold Palmer Invitational, said in a phone interview that "I'm back and feeling fine."

As for playing golf?

"Twelve days," he said. "My back has been bothering me some, but this has more to do with the swing and the fact that the pacemaker is in my shoulder. They don't want me to disrupt the wiring that is in there. So I'll wait for the doctors to say it's OK."
