Confident Rose wary of links challenge

Justin Rose insists his recent run of form will count for nothing when he takes to the course for the Open Championship at St Andrews on Thursday morning.
Rose is flying high following two victories in three starts on the PGA Tour, but he will put his recent successes to the back of his mind and focus on the challenge the Old Course presents.
"I bring a lot of confidence," he said. "Whether that confidence actually helps you Thursday, I don't necessarily think so.
"That confidence might translate coming down the stretch on Sunday when I've got half a chance. But Thursday morning it's all about the new challenge this golf course is going to present and getting your head around that."
Rose's victories at the Memorial Tournament and the AT&T National have seen Rose catapulted into the world top 20, but the world No. 16 admits he has had to adapt his game to suit the links course.
"There have definitely been some changes, it's almost as if you're being less technical out there," he said.
"Shot selection is going to be more important than shot execution. If you are choosing the wrong shot but still hitting it well you can still find yourself in trouble. Whereas if you are choosing the right shot and even execute it poorly you can still get away with it."
