Louis Oosthuizen showed no signs of complacency following his brilliant Open win as he seized a share of the lead on day one at the Scandanavian Masters in Stockholm.

The world No. 15, who claimed his maiden Major title at St Andrews over the weekend, struck a five-under 67 to leave him tied with Richard Green and Dustin Johnson.

Oosthuizen banished any suggestion of an Open hangover by sealing a birdie at the first, but he stuttered following that scintillating start, recording eight successive pars to reach the turn in 35.

His progress on the back nine was far less serene - he stormed into contention for back-to-back titles by grabbing five birdies.

He will have to surge past Green at some point if he is to leave as the victor, however, after the Australian displayed unerring accuracy from the tee - hitting 11 of 13 fairways - during a round that was good enough to top the leaderboard for much of the day.

Johnson was on course to join Oosthuizen as a Major winner until he capitulated in the final round of the US Open, but he is piecing his game together after that disappointment - and he is part of the three-strong pack tied at the top, one clear a group that includes Edoardo Molinari and KJ Choi.

David Dixon and Gary Boyd, 414 and 295 in the world rankings respectively, were the highest-placed Brits at three under.
